Weego Product Launch Media Tour
DRIVEN Public Relations works closely with their clients to develop appropriate strategies to make key announcements and one method is to conduct face-to-face media tours with top members of key media outlets. With Weego, they were introducing a new product under embargo and part of the activation included meeting with a very select group of media from specific trade publications.
As the primary spokesperson for the Weego brand, CEO of the Paris Corporation, Gerry Toscani traveled to Los Angeles for a three-day robust media tour where he was scheduled to meet several members of the media in unique settings throughout Los Angeles. From Irvine to Pasadena, DRIVEN lined up more than 10 interviews including a round-table meeting with key editors from the top motorcycle and automotive editors in the business. This media tour was accomplished using DRIVEN’s long-standing relationships with these editors.
After three days and more than 350 miles of traveling throughout Los Angeles, Gerry was able to meet with 13 different editors from top-tier publications like Forbes, Motor Trend, Cycle World, Digital Trends, Sport Rider, Hot Bike and others. The product was presented under embargo because of a specific launch date and all of the editors were extremely impressed with the overall design and features. Future product testing was lined up and all publications were interested in featuring the product once the embargo is lifted.

Weego appearance on Fox and Friends – Summer Road Trip Series
Weego, the innovator of portable jump starters, began working with DRIVEN Public Relations at the end of 2015 to support two of the top trade shows in the motorcycle and automotive industries, the 2015 American International Motorcycle Expo and the 2015 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show. With both shows resulting in incredibly exposure for the Weego brand, DRIVEN began handling all of their foundational PR needs to include a robust media test program and managing their team of brand ambassadors. One of Weego’s greatest milestones to date was DRIVEN’s ability to schedule one of their products on Fox and Friends, the award winning national morning show on the Fox News Network.
Weego’s compact, yet extremely powerful JS6 Standard Jump Starter Battery+ was one of a select few products featured on their multi-part Summer Road Trip series. The three-minute segment highlighted not only the compact size of the device, but how easy anyone can use it to jump start a car. The feature also showed how it can easily charge USB devices and also has an on-board flashlight for nighttime emergencies.
Within minutes of the segment airing, Weego’s web servers were flooded with traffic which resulted in more than $15,000 in sales just that day. Increased web traffic and sales followed days after the segment resulting in massive increased awareness and sales for both the product and company.
“Alright, if I could pick a favorite item, I would pick this – the Weego.” – Brian Kilmeade, Fox and Friends Host
